2024
La Compagnie des Desserts, a collective of ice cream makers, pastry chefs, and bakers, is driven by a shared ambition to become the go-to dessert specialist for restaurants.
This two weeks project aimed to simplify the ordering process for restaurant owners while enhancing the management and tracking of their orders. The redesign involved optimizing the app's navigation to better showcase the product catalog and new offerings, while also making key features like the order scheduling tool and promotions more accessible. To achieve this, we aligned the app’s design with Material Design principles, facilitating seamless integration and a consistent user experience. The project was a collaborative effort between Eleonore Rident and myself, ensuring a polished and user-centered final product.
App Architecture
We focused on highlighting the product catalog and new offerings while ensuring easy access to frequently used features like the order scheduling tool, catalog, and promotions. By streamlining the navigation, we made it simpler for users to discover new products and efficiently manage their orders.
Material Design Integration
To meet the tight deadline, we used Material Design principles, ensuring a consistent user experience and speeding up development. This approach enabled us to deliver a polished and functional redesign within two weeks, making integration easier for developers by leveraging existing components and guidelines.
High-Fidelity Prototyping
We created high-fidelity prototypes to validate design changes and gather user feedback. These prototypes included subtle animations to enhance user experience and clarify interactions. User testing helped refine the design, ensuring it met expectations and was user-centered before development began.
